High-heat wok dishes building complex layers of flavor and aromatics.
Light cold and raw dishes representing Pacific freshness.
Cold desserts, tea beverages, and breakfast acai power bowls.
Expect vibrant, bold flavors like Huli Huli, Asian marinades, and Polynesian items delivered with quick-service efficiency.

Located below Pines, this late-night joint is the perfect place to grab a slice on the go or just hang out. Featuring gelato, comfortable seating, games, and the option for made-to-order whole pizzas, it's great for friends and community gatherings!

Earlier this year, Jeff Palmer (Executive Director of Campus Dining and Retail) was named a recipient of the prestigious 2026 Silver Plate Award in the Colleges & Universities category by the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association (IFMA). This is one of the highest honors in the foodservice industry, recognizing true innovators who shape the future of dining.
While this award bears Jeff’s name, he is the first to emphasize that an achievement of this magnitude belongs to our entire Residential Dining program. This national recognition directly honors the high-impact, destination-dining culture built every day through a dedication to culinary diversity, responsible sourcing, environmentally conscious solutions, and authentic global cuisines. An operation that serves 9 million meals annually must embrace continuous improvement, which has contributed to UC San Diego’s leadership in this space.

Congrats to the HDH team that helped win a 2023 Inclusive Excellence Award for Ventanas restaurant at ERC. To learn more about the award, you can visit the Inclusive Excellence Awards page on Blink.
Congratulations to UC San Diego Catering's Héctor Giancarlo Pérez-Scolari for his win at the NACUFS' Culinary Challenge for the Pacific Region! His winning dish was Quynh, which he describes as "flavors of Banh Mi for a dear friend."
NACUFS is the National Association of College and University Food Services; their mission is to serve as the professional resource for collegiate foodservice leaders in order to elevate dining and transform the campus community experience. Learn more at NACUFS.org.
Congratulations to our very own Chef Vaughn Vargus and Chef Ivan Cideno-Gilardi, who won the tournament of champions showdown this week at the Chef Culinary Conference at UMass Amherst 2022. They beat out teams from universities around the country at this very prestigious event- great job, chefs!
