Different shifts, including nights and weekends, are available to fit your busy lifestyle. Dining knows how hectic your academic schedule can be and makes every effort to accommodate your needs. Managers or supervisors will assist you in molding a work schedule around your class and finals schedules.
As a student employee, you will be able to work as many as nineteen hours per week or as few as nine hours per week.
Dining offers the opportunity to learn and perform new tasks almost every day. You might serve fresh-baked desserts one day, handle food production the next, and on the third day operate the register and answer questions. With Dining you will be working in a positive, team-oriented environment in whatever task you may be performing. Training, unlike a course in calculus, is an interactive experience designed to be enjoyable as well as educational.
Dining facilities have openings at various times throughout the year. As a UC San Diego student you can work at any UC San Diego Dining facility on campus. Although it may be easier to live and work at the same college, you are not limited to the restaurant in your specific college.
